1. What is the reason for the recall?

We are conducting this recall voluntarily on the Cedona Natural View (33117082) Six-Drawer Dresser because we have learned that the item may be unstable if it is not anchored to the wall, posing a tip-over hazard to children. The item did not meet the new federal law on clothing unit stability, known as STURDY.

2. What Should I Do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dresser.

Keep children away from the dresser and contact Rooms To Go for a free replacement dresser.

Rooms To Go will schedule a free delivery of the replacement and remove the recalled dresser.

3. How do I know if my dresser is part of the recall?

This recall includes the Cedona Natural View (33117082) Six-Drawer Dresser in natural finish. The product is approximately 68 inches long by 18 inches wide by 36 inches in height and weighs about 238 pounds. The product has a white label on the rear panel that has the model number 33117082 printed on it in black ink.

 Affected units were all sold from November 2023 through February 2024 for about $1000.

4. What remedy are you offering as part of the recall?

We are offering a free replacement of your Cedona Natural View (33117082) Six-Drawer Dresser with a new version of the dresser that is compliant with the anti-tip over requirement. All of the changes are interior to the unit and you will not notice a difference in the appearance of the dresser.

At no cost to you, we will schedule a replacement delivery to your home and substitute a new compliant replacement and remove your current dresser. There is no charge for the pick-up of the dresser or for the replacement of the dresser.

5. How can I schedule the service visit to replace my unit?

6. Can’t I just throw away my dresser and have you ship me a new one?

No. We are conducting this recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, and we are required to repair or replace your dresser and pick up your current dresser.

7. I am not concerned about this. Can I continue to use my dresser?

We are asking all users to immediately stop using their dresser and contact us for a free replacement.

8. I have other Rooms to Go or Cedona brand furniture. Is that furniture affected by this recall?

No. Only Cedona Natural View (33117082) Six-Drawer Dresser manufactured during the affected period are affected by this recall

9.What is the replacement dresser, and does it have the same features as the one I have?

The replacement dresser is the same model as your current dresser and has all the same features. The only change is that there is some weight added to the rear of the unit in order to better stabilize the unit. The replacement dresser meets the industry stability standard. The replacement dresser will be delivered to you at no cost.

10. How long will it take for me to schedule the replacement?

We are currently scheduling appointments for four weeks from today. Please make sure to stop using the dresser and keep your children away from the dresser, if it is not already anchored to the wall with the previously supplied wall-anchor anti-tip over kit.
